Samhradh Series – Legends & Libations
This summer, Pig’s Lane invites you to immerse yourself in the rich folklore and legends of Kerry with ‘Legends & Libations’.
A unique cocktail experience where storytelling and mixology come together, inspired by the region’s myths.
On exclusive dates, during June, July and August, Pig’s Lane’s hidden Whiskey Parlour will come alive with ancient stories, local lore, and captivating storytelling as one of Ireland’s leading seanchaithe, Ray O’Sullivan, guides guests through an unforgettable evening.
As Ray’s tales unfold, echoes of Killarney’s legendary past will rise once more. Hear stories of restless spirits, otherworldly encounters, and the powerful figures said to roam Killarney’s mist-covered lakes and ancient woodlands.
The evening promises a fully immersive experience, featuring three of Pig’s Lane’s signature cocktails.

Whiskey Flights
Step underground into a bespoke hidden whiskey parlour, home to over 400 premium bottles. Discover rare finds from international producers and private collectors. Enjoy Scotch, Bourbon and Japanese whiskies alongside a proud showcase of Ireland’s renowned makers. Each sip celebrates Irish craftsmanship in a clandestine speakeasy setting inspired by the Prohibition era.
Whiskey Tastings
Guided tastings led by knowledgeable staff explore a range of whiskey flavours and styles in a candlelit vintage setting. Each flight showcases different styles, ages and regions, with insights into distilleries and maturation. Optional Irish cheese and charcuterie pairings perfectly complement the tasting experience
The Liberator Experience
O’Donoghue Public House and Lakeview Estate Distillery have collaborated to create an exclusive, one of a kind ‘Liberator Whiskey Experience’. Arising from the joining of Kerry clans, it celebrates the finest quality, craftsmanship and heritage of the region. Tour the Lakeview estate and learn how this whiskey is created, followed by a whiskey tasting back in O’Donoghue Public House.
Whiskey Tasting x Jaunting Car
Toast to tradition and timeless tales on a jaunting car journey through Killarney and Killarney National Park, guided by a local Jarvey. Explore the historic Ross Castle before settling in at O’Donoghue Public House. Settle into a cosy corner or traditional snug and enjoy a curated Irish whiskey tasting. Pair your dram with delicious Irish farmhouse cheeses, creamy, crumbly and full of character.
